Turn AI on
Open Settings > AI > AI data usage and switch on Luxe AI. Under What Luxe AI may use, choose what Luxe may send: product images, titles and descriptions; co-purchase and order counts from up to the last 90 days; your brand voice and existing product copy. The page records the date you turned AI on or changed these choices. Turn it off at any time; Luxe then sends nothing further.
Features
Every AI action in the admin carries the AI icon, and every AI suggestion an AI badge.
Suggest filters
On Product filters, Suggest filters proposes product types and filters from your own products. Shopify's product categories, your variant options and your tags come first, on every plan; on Growth, Pro and Enterprise, AI fills the gaps. Untick anything you do not want, rename product types, remove values, then Accept. Nothing is saved until you accept.
Auto-tag with AI
Fills the filters you defined for each selected product.
- In Product filters, select products and choose Auto-tag with AI. Up to 20 products run straight away; larger selections run as a background batch.
- Suggestions wait under Needs review with a confidence for each filter and a one-line rationale, lowest confidence first.
- Accept (optionally after editing), Reject, or accept everything at 90% confidence and above in one step.
Nothing is published to your storefront until you accept it. Products without an image, already tagged or already in review are skipped. Items the model declines are listed as "declined by the model"; failed requests as "not tagged, run again".
Set Composer
Set Composer proposes bundle sets from a brief: a collection and a goal (raise order value, move slow sellers, or tell a seasonal story). Each proposal has items, slot rules, a pricing mode, a name, a description and slot labels. Create draft bundle set saves one as a draft; you review and publish it yourself. Prices are always computed by Luxe's pricing engine, never by the model.
Open Advanced in the brief for more control:
- Based on: a collection, your best sellers or what is often bought together (from the last 30, 60 or 90 days of orders Luxe recorded, or Shopify's best-selling order inside a collection), new arrivals, or my own selection of up to 30 products. Best sellers and Often bought together need "Co-purchase and order counts" in Settings > AI > AI data usage; without it they are unavailable.
- Set type: any, a build-your-own set, a collection set (shoppers pick from the whole collection; needs a collection) or a fixed set.
- Items per set, set price and target saving. Sets that Luxe prices outside your price range, or with a different number of items, are set aside.
- Always include up to 3 products in every set, and never include up to 50.
- Instructions: up to 300 characters, such as "A winter gift set under $80 built around our best-selling candle". Luxe passes them to the model as a description of what you want; they cannot change prices, add products outside your brief or publish anything.
The summary above the proposals repeats your brief, for example "QA Candles · Raise AOV · best sellers, 90 days · under $80". Advanced options use the same Set Composer allowance as any other run.
Write with AI
Write with AI in the bundle set editor suggests a title (up to 60 characters), a description (320) and a label for each slot (24), in your brand voice when you allow it. Apply suggestions field by field or all at once; nothing is saved until you save the bundle set.
Rewards advisor summary
The Rewards advisor computes thresholds from your last 60 days of orders on every plan. On Pro and Enterprise, AI phrases those figures in a short summary; a sentence with a number Luxe did not compute is dropped.
Complete my set (storefront)
Show Complete my set is on for every bundle set; turn it off in the bundle set editor's Display card. Shoppers tap Complete my set to fill the open slots. With AI on, they can also describe what they like or tap an occasion chip (set per product type in Product filters), and AI orders the set's own in-stock items to fill the slots, each with a one-line reason. The picks are labelled "Suggested by AI" (you can change the label, not remove it), prices come from Luxe's pricing engine, and Undo restores the set. With AI off, over the allowance or unavailable, the button fills your default picks.
What is sent, and to whom
Luxe AI requests are processed by Anthropic (the maker of Claude), from Luxe's servers. On Pro and Enterprise, once you connect your own AI provider for Complete my set (Settings > AI > Complete my set > AI provider), those storefront requests go to that provider only, on your key.
| Sent (as you allow in Settings) | Never sent |
|---|---|
| Product titles, types, vendors, tags, descriptions, prices and availability | Customer names, emails, phones, addresses or customer IDs |
| Your filter definitions | Order IDs, order names or line details |
| One product or swatch image per item | In-use images, which may show people |
| Store-level counts, such as how often two items were bought together in the last 60 days (30 to 90 days for Best sellers and Often bought together) | Your store's domain |
| Your brand voice and existing copy | |
| Your Set Composer instructions, with emails and long numbers removed first | |
| For Complete my set: the shopper's short request (120 characters), with emails and long numbers removed first | The shopper's IP address, cart or customer ID |
- No training. Luxe uses AI only to answer your requests. Neither your data nor your customers' data is used to train or improve any model.
- Your store only. Requests never combine data from different stores.
- Retention. AI job inputs and results are kept for 90 days, then reduced to usage totals. A shopper's Complete my set request is never stored.
- Shoppers. Shopper-facing AI output is always labelled as AI. Consider mentioning Complete my set in your own privacy notice.
See the privacy policy for the full terms.
AI allowances
AI is included in the plan price and is never a charge. Fair-use allowances are counted in actions over a rolling hour and a rolling week: an action stops counting an hour, or seven days, after it ran. Settings > AI > AI usage shows this week's use of each feature next to its allowance.
| Feature | Luxe Growth | Luxe Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-tag | Up to 1,000 products on the first run, in the background; then 100 products a week | Your whole catalog on the first run, up to 10,000 products, at up to 1,000 products an hour; then 1,000 products a week |
| Write with AI | 20 drafts a week, 5 an hour | 120 drafts a week, 25 an hour |
| Suggest filters | 5 runs a week | 30 runs a week, 10 an hour |
| Set Composer | On Luxe Pro | 30 runs a week, 5 an hour |
| Rewards advisor summary | On Luxe Pro | 50 summaries a week, 15 an hour |
| Complete my set | Smart picks | Smart picks, plus 1,500 AI suggestions a month; your own AI provider past that (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter) |
Luxe Enterprise allowances are larger and set per agreement. During the 14-day Pro trial, Auto-tag tags up to 1,000 products; the rest of your catalog continues once your plan starts.
Nothing shows until you have used 80% of an allowance. Then one line under the button says what is left, and at the limit when the feature is available again. Auto-tag never loses work at a limit: it waits and continues by itself, and products that have not changed since their last run are skipped. When a shopper's Complete my set request is over the day's allowance, the button fills your default picks.
Occasionally AI may pause for a short while ("AI paused until tomorrow"). Suggestions in review stay available and everything else runs as usual.
