Accessibility statement

For Luxe's storefront components, the Luxe app in Shopify admin and this website. Prepared from the Luxe team's self-assessment.

DRAFT — NEEDS LEGAL REVIEW · Effective 4 October 2026

Our commitment

DIGITALSTORE SOLUTIONS LTD wants everyone to be able to build a set, choose a gift and check out, whatever their abilities or assistive technology. This covers the bundle set builder, item picker, cart drawer, rewards bar, collection tray, the no-JavaScript form, and the Luxe app in Shopify admin.

Conformance status

We target EN 301 549 v3.2.1, which references WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and aim for WCAG 2.2 AA. Luxe is partially conformant: most content conforms fully, with the exceptions below.

What we do

  • Every storefront component works with a keyboard alone.
  • Dialogs keep focus inside, close with Escape and return focus.
  • Controls name their state, such as sold out, selected or free.
  • Selection and price changes are announced to screen readers.
  • Text meets contrast under every preset and the merchant's own colours.
  • Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • Layouts reflow at 320 pixels and with increased text spacing.
  • Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • With JavaScript off, a plain form still adds the set.

Known limitations

  • Luxe's words ship in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish and Polish; other languages see English.
  • Merchant content (image descriptions, labels, custom colours) is the merchant's responsibility.
  • The merchant's theme and Shopify checkout are outside Luxe.

How we test

Automated axe checks, keyboard, focus, target-size, reflow and reduced-motion tests run on every build of the storefront components; manual screen reader checks run each release.

This website

This website was tested against WCAG 2.2 Level AA on 3 October 2026, in Chromium with Playwright and axe-core. These checks now run on every build of the site:

  • Automated axe-core checks (the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules) on every page, at 1440 and 390 pixels wide, and on the developer docs in the dark theme. No violations remain.
  • One h1 per page, a main landmark and no skipped heading levels on every page.
  • Keyboard only: the skip link, the header menus (which also open on hover), the mobile menu, the forms and the six demos.
  • A visible focus indicator at 3:1 contrast or more on every control of thirteen representative pages, never hidden behind other content.
  • Reflow at 320 pixels with increased text spacing, on every page.
  • Reduced motion: no animation or transition runs when your device asks for less motion.
  • Form errors are tied to their field and summarised once; the demos announce each change once and keep focus where you are.

Known limitations of this website:

  • It has not yet been tested with screen readers or on real phones; the checks above are automated and run in Chromium.
  • Some text links in lists and tables are smaller than 44 by 44 pixels. They meet the WCAG 2.2 minimum of 24 pixels, or its spacing rule.
  • Wide tables scroll sideways on small screens, inside their own scrolling area.
