How it works
A collection set turns your real collection page into a builder. Shoppers tap Add to set on product cards, and a tray docks at the bottom of the page with their picks, the set's price and its savings. With tiers, the set rewards them as it grows: free shipping from the first item, 10% off at three, 15% off at five.
The tier progress bar shows each tier, the next step ("Add 2 more for 10% off your set") and the tiers already unlocked. The tray's total already includes the savings checkout will apply.
Start from the template
- Open Bundle sets > Create bundle set > Popular and choose Build your bundle, unlock more. It is a collection set of 1 to 6 picks, repeats allowed, priced Rewards only.
- Choose the collection and save. Saving also creates the set's rewards as a draft, Build your bundle rewards: free shipping at 1 item, 10% off at 3, 15% off at 5.
- Under Set rewards, check the tiers, or open Edit rewards to change thresholds, rewards, short labels and messages. A gift of the shopper's choice works as a reward too.
- Activate the rewards (Rewards, the ladder, Activate) and the set. Until the rewards are active, a Rewards only set gives no discount; the editor says so.
For an existing collection set, set the pricing to Rewards only, save, then use Create this set's rewards under Set rewards.
Preview the tiers
The editor's Preview has one button per tier ("0", "1 item", "3 items", "5 items"). Choose one to see the tray at that count, the tier it unlocks, the next step and the total, priced exactly as checkout will price those picks.
Place the bar
In the set's Tray section, Tier progress bar position offers four places:
- In the tray (default): beside the picks on desktop, above them on mobile.
- Stacked above the tray: a full-width row across the top of the tray.
- Top of the page: a banner above the collection's product grid.
- Top of the page, sticky: the same banner, which stays under your theme's header as shoppers scroll.
For the two Top of the page choices, add the Tier progress bar block in the theme editor: open the collection template, add an Apps section above the product grid and choose Tier progress bar. The page then keeps the banner's space as it loads, so nothing jumps.
Good to know
- A store can run up to 4 active collection sets at a time.
- On Horizon, add the Add to bundle set block inside the product card; on most other themes the app embed adds it to product cards by itself.
- The tray reads up to 250 products per collection page. Keep the collection at 250 or fewer, or add the Add to set block to your theme's product cards.
